The batiks from the series „The Windows” directly derive from the previous series „The Lights of the Night”. All the series of the batiks in the cycle „The Lights of the Night” were inspired by the night urban landscape full of vibrating colourful lights perceived at a distance. The cycle „The Windows” presents the whole idea in the close background ot details of glass modem buildings-lift shafts, windows, walls and domes lit-up by artificial lights. On the borderline of light and darkness I observed rectangles, triangles, and semi-circles as they change their location towards one another in my imagination just like in a caleidoscope. Through the following stages of my work I looked for ideal combinations of shapes and colour matching to obtain the final composition. In order to achieve a wide range of colours and contrasts I tried to overcome technological limitations. The chronnatics of these works is therefore brighter and more contrastive in colour. The batics of the cycle „The Windows” in most cases with symmetric assumptions significantly emphasise my inner drive for ideal harmony and balance.
